I greatly enjoyed this story, and liked the idea that our universe is simply artifacts of a higher dimension. The culture of the higher dimension surprised me (insofar as the way they got things done,) I was expecting something wonderous, but the whole story worked for me, I even liked the ending
As a young man, Clifford Simak was one of my favorite authors. While I found his writing style to be excellent, the story itself did not hold my attention. Perhaps it is that the world has changed radically over the past 50 years, and things that once roused the imagination no longer do so. This is an OK story, but not the special one I hoped for. Perhaps a younger reader might appreciate it more.
This tale of battle in the Fourth Dimension was a little too bizarre for this reviewer's taste.

Good start, interesting middle, and an ending that will have you scratching your head.

However, it is a short read and the individual reader may enjoy this pulpish venture into the field of SF.
