I had my eReader do text-to-speech on this book as I drove in my car. Even with a droning monotone male voice, the energy of the author still comes through. A great short memoir on the early days of stage magic.
A book that every magic-enthusiast must read.At no point you'll feel guilt of starting this book, for this Memoir By Father Of Modern Magic, M.Robert-Houdin takes you to the mysterious life of a magician. The book contains his experience of self-Training, his homework with his son Emile for performing Second-Sights, his tricks and the most astounding thing you'll find is his memoir on Algiers, for where he once had been made a special envoy(For What ? to find that I suggest you to read.)where he was able to overcome the Marabouts' Magic by his superior Wand! After finishing this book, you are definitely going to search for Magic Tricks be they of cards, coins, Mentalism, second-sight or even for occult.Enjoy Reading!
