A science fiction author seems to remember his poker buddy turning into a bug-eyed monster that slizzed out his life-force, but then he had been drinking. Still, the idea of shape-changing, mind-controlling aliens living among us, feeding off our joys would make a good story . . . .

A good little paranoid story that is pretty tired by now. And the ending is trite.
(1953)' Sci-fi (Alien presence)
